About

Experience

I'm originally from England and grew up skiing in Europe. I Initially got certified as a ski instructor through the British Assocation of Snowsports Instructors in Verbier, Switzerland back in 2002. After a couple of years teaching for Interski in the Aosta Valley in Italy I moved to Park City, UT and obtained my Professional Ski Instructors of America Alpine Level 3. Experience gained teaching in Utah and a couple of back to back winters down in Perisher, Australia led me to joining the Education Staff for the PSIA Intermountain Region in 2009. A season down in Porters, New Zealand followed before a permanent move to the East Coast of the US in the summer of 2011.

Here on the East Coast I taught many ski lessons at Blue Mountain, PA and Ski Sundown, CT before taking a year round position as the Snowsports and Race Program Director at Mohawk Mountain, CT from 2016 to 2023. I'm so excited to be back on snow this winter teaching lessons at the Hermitage Club!

Why do I teach skiing?

I teach skiing because I enjoy passing my passion and enthusiasm for the sport on to clients and see them improve and reach their personal skiing goals. My lessons are welcoming, and during a relaxed atmoshire, I like to combine long term skill development with focused practice time (lots of skiing mileage!). I strive for all of my lesson participants to have plenty of fun!!!

What I enjoy doing when I'm not instructing...

When I am not teaching skiing or skiing with my family in the winter months I enjoy mountain biking, waterskiing, wakeboarding, hiking with my dog and watching my kids participate in their favourite activities; playing soccer and riding horses.
