About
Returning home to New England from Missoula, MT after 4 years out west, I am excited to be back on the Ice Coast! Researching extensively from Saddleback, ME to Mammoth, CA; Taos, NM to Lake Louise Canada, I have found that what they say is true: if you can ski the East, you can ski anywhere.
I originally learned to slide on skis, and eventually switched to snowboarding. During a winter break gig teaching at Wachusett Mountain, I developed a deep love of sharing the stoke. Snowboarding has been the chief joy in my life ever since. Recently returning to hard boots to take up touring in the back country of Montana, I am enjoying skis from a new perspective. I am happy to give you technical tips and drills, or just cruise the mountain. In our lesson, I'll share an instructor's perspective on familiar terrain, and help you advance to new terrain, no matter how many planks you have under your feet.
Returning to professional instruction at the Hermitage Club provides an exciting opportunity to train for my AASI and PSIA level 1 certifications. I look forward to incorporating skill sets from parallel careers into our lesson, and can capture GoPro footage if you'd like. Filming is excellent for movement analysis, and it makes for a fantastic souvenir!
So let's get started... What's on your huck-it bucket list this winter?
